Hi, my name is Timothy Beaty. My family and I have lived all over the world on three different continents. Although this has allowed our children to have experiences we could have only dreamed of, we’ve found that is has also allowed us to develop strong family bonds.
My Hawaiian Life Now is the story of our latest adventure – moving our family of 6 to Hawaii! You will see that even a large family with no strong connections to the islands CAN survive and thrive in paradise.

I am a practicing pediatric specialist, musician, and amateur web designer. I am the primary content creator for My Hawaiian Life Now, but I always depend on the love and support of my wife Ayumi, my family, and my God. I enjoy learning new things, spending time with my family, and games.
Ayumi Beaty, “Mommy”
I am a stay at home mother with a biology degree. My days are filled with parenting and being the primary homeschooler for my children. I enjoy fine music and art, and absolutely love my children – even when they make my life utter chaos.
The Kids
We currently have 4 children, all under 8 years old (written in 2020). Joshua is the oldest and is full of energy. He enjoys sports and Star Wars above all else. Penelope (“Penny”) is next, and as the only girl she stands up for herself well. Although she is a bit more stoic than the boys, she greatly enjoys dressing up and fashion designing. Grant is our jokester who lives life to the fullest. He lives to make others smile. Finally, Lewis (“LewLew”) is our youngest and we cannot wait to learn about his personality.
